"The shrimp and grits at the first stop alone was worth the trip. But then the chef at the third stop — I've been cooking Southern food for 20 years and learned something new."

— Sandra T., Charleston SC

"We did the food tour as a couple and it was the highlight of our Hilton Head trip. The she-crab soup at the Gullah kitchen was incredible. We'll be back for another tour."

"The oyster roast on the waterfront was unreal. Fresh, salty, perfect. And the chef explaining the history behind each dish made it so much more than a meal."

Food Tour FAQ

What's included in the food tour?

Three restaurant stops — a waterfront seafood venue, a Gullah-inspired soul food kitchen, and a chef-hosted tasting experience. Each stop includes dishes from the Lowcountry pantry: oysters, shrimp, she-crab soup, Frogmore stew, and more. You'll also get a curated cocktail at each location.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available at each stop. Just mention your dietary needs when booking — we'll work with our restaurant partners to make sure there's something for everyone at the table. If you have severe allergies, note them in the booking form.

Is this a timeshare tour?

Yes. The 90-minute resort presentation comes first — it's a vacation ownership (timeshare) preview. After the tour, your culinary experience reward is delivered: three restaurant stops and a chef experience. There is no obligation to purchase anything. Read more on our timeshare tour page.

How long is the full experience?

Plan for a half day. The resort tour runs 90 minutes, then the food tour is approximately 2–3 hours depending on the pace of your group. In total: roughly 4–4.5 hours from start to finish. Most guests start the resort tour in the late morning and are done with the full experience by mid-afternoon.

What are the age requirements?

Adults attending the resort presentation should be between 25–70 years old with a household income of $50K+. This is standard for resort preview tours. The food tour itself is open to all ages — kids are welcome at all three restaurant stops. Contact us if you have questions about eligibility.
